We are seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our team as Woodworking Apprentices.
Job Description:
As a Woodworking Apprentice at Birch and Buffalo, you will work closely with our skilled craftsmen to learn and develop your skills in various aspects of woodworking. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who have experience or a strong interest in fine woodworking, painting, sanding, framing, and CNC operation. You will play a crucial role in the production of our unique, high-quality wooden products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the crafting of wooden wall art and home décor items
- Learn and operate woodworking machinery, including CNC machines
- Participate in painting, sanding, and finishing processes to ensure product quality
- Assist in the framing of artwork and other wooden pieces
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
Qualifications:
- Experience or a strong interest in woodworking and related tasks (painting, sanding, framing, CNC operation)
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of woodworking, including standing for extended periods and lifting materials
- Basic knowledge of woodworking tools and machinery is a plus but not required; training will be provided
